FACTS ARTICLE ABOUT T.REX DINOSAUR

THE TYRANT LIZARD KING

In 1905 T.Rex, a 40 foot long dinosaur, was named by Henry Fairfield Osborn
This "tyrant lizard king" which means Tyrannosaurus rex is Pronounced tie-RAN-o-SAWR-us rex.

He was a Carnivore (meat-eater), and T.Rex ate large dinosaurs, like Triceratops.

He was a 40 feet long, 15 to 20 feet in height and weighed 5to 7 tons.

This great dinosaur lived in the Late Cretaceous period, about 85-65 million years ago and fossil have been found in the USA (in Montana, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming), Canada (Alberta and Saskatchewan), and east Asia (Mongolia).

About 30 incomplete T. Rex fossils have been found. One T. rex footprint has been found, in an undisclosed location in New Mexico, USA. Fossilized T.rex dung has also been found. The first T. rex was found in Hell Creek, Montana, USA, North America by Barnum Brown in 1902.
