Doctors offices and day care centers should also have at least one playset for children to play on and any of our Phunzone residential play systems may be built for commercial use as well.
Our play structures meets ASTM F-1148 safety requirements for residential play structures and is a safe play set for up to five children at one time. Our adventure play sets may also be set up out of doors.
Our adventure playsets are a perfect childs toy for a bonus room or in your basement. If you own a party center, community center, preschool or even a health club this will be a perfect child's toy for young children. This play system has a max. capacity for five children at one time.
"Hawaii" is an indoor/outdoor modular play structure with a fall height of 33" and is an adventure playset perfect for all active boys and girls.
Over time, older children (6 and over with adult help) have the option to “disassemble” the structure and create totally new designs. This is a major benefit to a “modular” system.
Play weight limit of this residential playground: Recommended safe play limit on panels - 110 lbs. However, it’s not a problem for larger adults to get on to clean or maintain. Best for adults to place weight on tubes between panels.
NOTE: CPSC* and ASTM* recognize the important value of separating play areas and play structures for different age groups. ASTM now has “separate” safety standards for equipment used by 6-23 month olds, 2-5 year olds and 6-12 year olds.
The new CPSC handbook, stresses the need for separating the toddlers from the preschoolers and both of these groups from the older school age children. COMMERCIAL PLAYGROUNDS We do not knowingly sell residential built play sets to commercial use orders. Our commercial playgrounds are made from exactly the same components as the residential structures, but have a more stringent “commercial” construction standards than “home” playgrounds.WHAT IS ASTM? In addition to the CPSC guidelines, the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) also has developed voluntary performance and safety standards for most play equipment categories. ASTM is one of the largest voluntary standard-setting organizations in the world.
In 1988 ASTM undertook a project to develop safety standards for Public Use Playground Equipment. A committee of over 120 professionals and consumers, dedicated to playground safety, worked on the development of this standard and, in December, 1993, ASTM Published F1487, Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification for Playground Equipment for Public Use. In 1995, ASTM F1487-95 was published. ASTM measurements establish minimum acceptable performance specifications for everything from swings to play surfacing. AGE-APPROPRIATE PLAY STRUCTURES Phunzone residential play systems are primarily designed for the 5 and under age group. The designs meet the safety requirements for ATSM F-1148 “Home Playground Equipment”.
