Evidence from archaeological diggings has shown that toy dolls are the oldest toy known to man. Found in Egyptian tombs, back as early as 2000BCE, dolls have been found in the graves of children from wealthier families and most were made of wood or pottery.

Over the ages dolls have been made from such materials as bisque, china, clay, corn husks as well as cloth dolls. In early America girl dolls including any soft girl dolls were a precious toy to a little girl. Toy dolls went everywhere with her, especially to bed at naptime or for the evening.

New from ImagiPLAY for 2010 are Pixie Dolls. Three styles to choose from; each soft doll represents a different habitat (Rainforest, Florida Everglades & North Pole). These educational girl dolls will help parents and teachers introduce their young children to three different habitats and how they are being threatened by deforestation, pollution or global warming.
